We represented Cornucopia Oil & Gas Company in a lawsuit against several parties related to defendants’ accusation that Cornucopia had breached a contract by failing to pay a “finder’s fee” for securing financing for an offshore oil and gas exploration.  Cornucopia sought a declaration that no such fee was owed, and defendants counterclaimed for breach of contract damages.  After fact discovery concluded, both parties filed motions for summary judgment, none of which were granted.  The parties settled their dispute one week before trial.
