Reynolds Frizzell Partners Nathan M. Smith and Jeremy Doyle were part of a landmark lawsuit and settlement that brought air conditioning to a Texas geriatric prison. 

The settlement resolves a 2014 civil rights lawsuit brought by inmates at the Wallace Pack Unit in Navasota, Texas over their right to be safe from potentially lethal indoor heat in the summertime. The state also agreed to 26 medical categories of heat sensitivity that call for additional protection among the Pack inmates.
